Jason began his accounting
career as a trainee accountant in 1998 with Macquarie
Retirement Care Services in Bolton Point. He then moved
into the public practice arena in 2000 working for Mark
Sexton Chartered Accountants, in 2001 he commenced employment
at Frank Tickle Chartered Accountants till 2006.
In March 2006, Jason
commenced practice in his own firm now known as Vanguard
Accountants Pty Ltd Trading As Hunter Unity Tax and
Smart Tax Professionals operating from their new offices
at 408 King Street, Newcastle West and 161 Pacific Highway,
Charlestown
A notable success:
Over 18 months, I worked with a large company to restructure
the ownership of the business for tax effectiveness
and to revamp their accounting approach. This strengthened
their accounting and payroll system, adding new internal
controls and processes. The changes covered budgets,
cash flows and monthly management meetings, and provided
strong foundations for achieving the company’s financial
goals.
